Wimbledon 2026 predictions: our men's ATP and women's WTA tennis picks

We can already smell the strawberries and cream, Pimms, and grass of the UK’s most prestigious tennis tournament - and the world’s only grass-based major. That’s right; Wimbledon is nearly upon us for another year, bringing the excitement of the next entry of the 2026 Grand Slam tour right here to bet on at Stake.

We’ll take a look at all the top names, some dark horses, and some top tennis bets to consider placing on this year’s Wimbledon Championships at Stake Sportsbook.

Our men's singles pick to win Wimbledon 2026

Jannik Sinner is the incumbent Wimbledon winner, and he’s our top outright pick to win it again this year. That’s largely because his rival Carlos Alcaraz has had to withdraw from the competition with a wrist injury. As the world number one, Sinner may face little competition from the rest of the pack given his impressive 75% grass record and form at Wimbledon.

It opens up the field for the likes of Alexander Zverev, who will now see the Italian as the major stumbling block for a run at the final. In previous years, players have had to worry about facing one of the two favourites on either side of the draw. That won’t be the case this year.

Can Djokovic win an eighth Wimbledon title at 39?

Novak Djokovic is quite rightly known as one of the greatest of all time, and he will look to add to his seven Wimbledon crowns. Time is not exactly on his side, as his power is beginning to wane as he approaches retirement, but it would be hard to deny that he still has a chance, especially after he bettered Sinner in the Aussie Open semis. Combined with an 85% rate on grass, the Serb holds the potential for more Djokovic success.

Men's dark horses and value picks for Wimbledon 2026

There are a number of players to keep an eye on outside of the major favourites, including these picks for dark horses.

Jack Draper - home crowd and a grass-court game built for Wimbledon

Draper may not yet have a Grand Slam title, but as a homegrown star at Wimbledon, he will have the crowd on his side. He is imperious on grass, and this will certainly stand him in good stead in South West London. Now coached by Andy Murray, the 24-year-old could be coming into his own, and he will look to surpass his second-round best showings. His ability to cover the entire court with power and pace on grass will serve him well at the Championships, and if he can stretch the play from the baseline as he so often does, he could put pressure on more experienced operators.

Zverev, Fritz and the next tier of contenders

The likes of Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, and Daniil Medvedev are not exactly at the same level as legends like Roger Federer, but they certainly will have a lot to say about who wins in 2026.

Zverev won his first Slam at Roland Garros this year and will be confident of adding another. He is beginning to show that he belongs on the biggest stages, able to go the distance and not just make up the numbers. He’s made three Slam finals in three years, so it would not be a surprise for him to go again this year.

Fritz, however, will be looking to go better than his semifinal finish in 2025 and will feature highly in the outright betting. His service style is suited to grass, with his unorthodox flat approach generating plenty of spin and skid to bamboozle his opponents. That could serve him well in going far.

Similar could be said of Medvedev, whose flat, spinning serve has seen him prove a tricky one to come up against on grass for even some of the best performers. With so much uncertainty every time he steps up to serve, he can strike fear into the hearts of any player at Wimbledon.

Our women's singles pick to win Wimbledon 2026

Swiatek is our pick, although Aryna Sabalenka is the current WTA Tour number one, she won’t have it easy, as Iga Swiatek will want to defend her title after she won for the first time in 2025. The Polish star just about edges it in every department in terms of historic form. However, Sabalenka will be desperate to add to her collection of Australian Open and US Open wins.

Women's dark horses and draw analysis for Wimbledon 2026

Here are just a couple of outside options that we think can upset the form.

Elena Rybakina - grass-court pedigree and the game to beat the top two

Rybakina is number two in the world right now, and she will certainly want to improve on that. As a specialist on grass who has already won at Wimbledon, she certainly could claim another title. No one will be looking forward to facing her, as her service style looks to press home her dominance, and the accuracy of her opening shots leaves little room for mistakes in her opponents.

Gauff, Andreeva and the emerging threats

Elsewhere, there is value in players like Coco Gauff and Mirra Andreeva, who just about missed out on being considered strong options.

Gauff is one of a small handful of players who have been ranked number one without winning a Grand Slam title, so a win here on the grass court swing would help right a perceived wrong.

Andreeva appears to be coming into her own following her maiden Slam win at the French Open earlier this year; she will be hoping to translate her defensive style to grass and improve on her sub-60% record.

Emma Raducanu will not be anyone’s favourite, but being on home soil might give her an advantage.

Best value bets and Wimbledon 2026 parlays

Take a look at our top bets to place on Wimbledon women’s WTA Singles and men’s ATP singles.

Player props worth backing across both draws

Consider using player prop bets like most aces to get value out of your betting slips. For example, Djokovic and Fritz, two of the most reliable servers in the game, would be a good choice for this market. Elsewhere, Aryna Sabalenka is the WTA’s primary ace server. You could also look at Sinner in a market like service games won, as he rarely drops games in which he starts play.

Parlay picks and longshot plays

A good way to get extra value out of your bets is to combine fixtures or bets in a parlay bet or same-game bet builder. If there are some clear favourites in the early rounds, lengthen your odds by adding a few to one ticket. Each leg will have to win for your bet to come in, but barring any major shocks, you could predict a number of early games. However, it is worth noting that adding more legs adds extra risk, and you should always consider betting responsibly and using small stakes on tickets with a small number of legs.
